Spider Man, Spider Man

I was beyond excited when my friend Dana asked me if The Little Nook could host her son's birthday party.  There is nothing more special than getting to plan fun games and activities for children that I have known since they were born.  What an honor!

To start, all of the guests received this adorable invitation in the mail!

When they arrived the tables were set with superhero masks and pops of red and blue color.

and the food gave us all special powers to help fight off evil forces...

We ordered cupcake toppers that matched the invitations...

All of our Superheroes had to get in full hero gear by decorating masks...

Now that we were all in disguise,

All of the Superheroes were called to help get rid of all of the spiders on Spider Man' s web...

They loved this game!

Next, we had to toss the spiders { homemade bean bag spiders } off of the web...

We love our parachute games at The Little Nook.

Then they had to toss water balloons through hoops...

So much fun!

Thank you!

Butter Beer, Hogwarts, Dumbledore, and Dobby...

In a perfect world, I would be throwing a huge party tonight to celebrate and mourn the end of an era.  I will be at the midnight showing of Harry Potter tonight, a tradition that has gone on for years with me and my nieces, Taylor and Peyton.  Yes, we have stood in line for every book on opening day and seen every movie on opening night at midnight.  One year we were in Hawaii and we pre ordered our books down there, stood in line and read the whole thing the next day on the beach.

If anyone ever wants to have a Harry Potter birthday party, I am your girl...

For now, I am sharing some great Harry Potter party ideas that I have seen over the years.  I hope you are all as excited and sad as I am for tonight!

Here's to Butter Beer, Hogwarts, Dumbledore and Dobby!
