All Aboard - Train Birthday

All Aboard!

We were all on board for this very special Choo Choo Train Birthday Party for a very special little Conductor...

Happy 2nd Birthday Conductor Candler!

Invitations are always a first impression for any party.  We love collaborating on our invitations with
Kate Hudson Designs!  It is so easy to call her with ideas and color schemes and watch her execute it beautifully!

Here is your Ticket...

Railroad tracks made a fun entryway...

Ticking stripe fabric looks great with trains on a banner or table cloth.
We loved putting food in the train cars:
LOG CAR {pretzels}, HAY CAR {rice crispies}, ANIMAL CAR {animal crackers}.

Antique train with mini hay stacks on a table give it a great vintage look and
we added an extra little touch by stamping trains on the red balloons!

After we had a little snack we gathered all of the children on the front porch and dressed them in hats and bandannas.  They had no idea what we were up to until they heard the bell ringing and then a real train came around the corner.  They were thrilled!

We set up some fun snacks and activities outside....

Coco Puffs make yummy coal!  We covered the juice boxes and after I did it I realized that "Chugga Chugga" would have been cuter!  Next time!!!

There was a train table set up outside and tables and chairs with crayons and puzzles that were
train themed...
{just in case someone did not want to ride the Choo Choo }

That was not a problem!

Shoveling Coal

We painted cardboard boxes black to make them look like a train.  Then we painted a fourth one black on the outside and red flames on the inside with a door for a furnace.  We put black foam in the train cars and put shovels around them.  The children loved shoveling the coal into the furnace!

We sang Happy Birthday Choo Choo style!

Sweet Candler did not want to leave the train table so we brought his candle to him!  I loved it!!!!

and ate some yummy cupcakes!

What a perfect 2nd Birthday Celebration!!!!

We love you Conductor Candler!!!!!!
