2015-2016 School Here We Come!

Dear Parents,

Summer fun has come to an end, we reminisce those days that we talked about fish fins. We made lemonade, counted seashells too, talked about fireworks, and what veggies do...

Here we are at the brink of a new school year, my how time flies when we spend time with those dear.

Important Dates: Please make notes in your calendar. You can always refer to these on our website.

-       SNEAK PEEK
Wednesday, September 2nd from 10am-12pm.

If you have not come in to see The Little Nook and you would like to come in and look around, our doors are open to parents of currently enrolled students. This is such a busy time of year for so many parents shuffling around from school to school so to take the pressure off Mama, we are making this optional this year! Please park on side streets neighboring The Little Nook.

Tuesday, September 8th

November 25th, 26th and 27th

December 21st thru January 3rd

The Little Nook offers 5 days a week for ages 2 and up, and to continue our 1-2 day per week program for babies 3 months to children 23 months of age.

We are currently enrolling for  the 2015-2016 School Year. All Enrollment Forms and Program Options can be found under the "Parents-Forms" page on the website. As always, if you have any questions, you may call us at 404-846-2232 or email jackie@thelittlenook.net.

  • All release forms, Enrollment Application and Forms must be signed and turned in prior to arrival.

  • All dues must be paid prior to arrival {carpool is not a great place for this}!

  • Please label all clothing, all food items, pacifiers, bottles, sippy cups, coats, bags etc...On occasion things do accidentally go home with the wrong child or get left at school overnight.  Labels are so important so we know who to return items to.  You can go to Mabels Labels from our website to find great ones!

  • Please send your child with snacks/lunch everyday.  Please include a drink and napkins.  Please do not send squeezable yogurt, berries, carbonated beverages, candy or desserts unless it is a special occasion.  Please do not send water bottles.  Hot dogs, whole grapes, and popcorn are known choking hazards.  We are not able to microwave meals or refrigerate lunches so please send in an insulated bag. NO NUTS PLEASE, no peanut butter.

  • Please send a change of clothes for potty trained children.  Please send 3 diapers and wipes for children that are not potty trained.  If you can put diapers and wipes in zip lock bags, it is ideal. If water bottles spill, they ruin diapers. We welcome diaper and wipe donations!

  • We know that children have loveys, blankets, dolls and choo choo trains that they love.  Transition is always easier with these items, but please take into consideration the risk of losing these special items if they are sent with your child.  At your own risk.

  • The Little Nook cannot be held responsible for any lost items. We do our absolute BEST to get everything back to its rightful owner.

  • Carpool starts at 8:30am.  You should enter, loop around the back of the building and then pull up to the first or second orange cone.  This is the same at 12:30pm for pick-up! We do have 3 pick-up times: 12:00, 12:15, and 12:30. This is simply to avoid tears as the little ones do not do as well if they are last.

  • Please apply sunscreen and bug spray before your child arrives at The Little Nook.  We will be playing outside unless it is raining.

  • If you ever need to speak with one of us, please let us know and we will schedule a time to chat.  Carpool is a tricky time for this.

  • Please read our Parent Handbook before your child’s first day so that you are in “the know”!!!

  • Most importantly, smell the roses. If you are having a laid back morning and enjoying snuggles, please do not stress to get to The Little Nook by 8:30. We completely understand the rigors of parenthood and the lost moments because we are always in a hurry! Just call us and let us know that you will be late if it is after 9am so we can look for you. This time is so precious with your little ones and it goes by too fast. We learn a lot in 4 hours, they will never miss anything as much as they do extra time with you.
